چکیده
The study of organic matter content and composition in source rocks using the methods geochemistry is an important part unconventional reservoir characterization. aim this work was structural group analysis directly rock combination with a quantitative assessment surface distribution sample by FTIR spectroscopy microscopy. We have developed new experimental procedures for semi-quantitative content, applied these samples from Bazhenov shale formation (West Siberia, Russia). results been verified data obtained Rock-Eval pyrolysis differential thermal analysis. demonstrate prospects microscopy application non-destructive express chemical structure rocks.

Thermo-Oxidation and Biodegradation Study of Low-Density Polyethylene /Starch Films by IR Spectroscopy
This article reports a study of the thermo-oxidation and biodegradation in the soil of low-density polyethylene/starch films (LDPE/starch) by infrared spectroscopy: Films of LDPE/Starch blends of different composition (starch content range from 0 to 15% w/w),were prepared and exposed to thermo-oxidation at different temperatures at 80, 90 and 100°C,and buried in the soil of public dump duri...

BACKGROUND Advance Technology Development (ATD) Program is a new program put forth by Department of Energy to develop high power lithium ion batteries for hybrid electric vehicles and electric vehicles. It is a joint effort of five national labs and LBNL is the lead lab in investigating SEI (solid electrolyte interface) layer formation and dissolution. Our group is responsible for the character...
متن کاملStudy on antibacterial alginate-stabilized copper nanoparticles by FT-IR and 2D-IR correlation spectroscopy
BACKGROUND The objective of this study was to clarify the intermolecular interaction between antibacterial copper nanoparticles (Cu NPs) and sodium alginate (NaAlg) by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) and to process the spectra applying two-dimensional infrared (2D-IR) correlation analysis. To our knowledge, the addition of NaAlg as a stabilizer of copper nanoparticles has not be...
متن کاملUltrafast 2D IR microscopy.
We describe a microscope for measuring two-dimensional infrared (2D IR) spectra of heterogeneous samples with μm-scale spatial resolution, sub-picosecond time resolution, and the molecular structure information of 2D IR, enabling the measurement of vibrational dynamics through correlations in frequency, time, and space. The setup is based on a fully collinear "one beam" geometry in which all pu...
متن کاملReflectance IR Spectroscopy
Infrared spectroscopy is study of the interaction of radiation with molecular vibrations which can be used for a wide range of sample types either in bulk or in microscopic amounts over a wide range of temperatures and physical states. As was discussed in the previous chapters, an infrared spectrum is commonly obtained by passing infrared radiation through a sample and determining what fraction...
